2009 Already

A year has whipped by without posting. Shame on me!!!!

We had another great summer of touring in our wonderful cars and look forward to many tours this coming season.

Right now very few of us are in the Northwoods as it has had some record cold temps during January. But we do keep in touch by phone and email. It is wonderful that the cell phone has been invented so we can take calls no matter where on the planet we are.

We did have a good turnout for our Christmas Party and then folks took off for warmer climates. A few of us have purposely retired up north to enjoy the peace and quiet. We can tolerate the extreme cold and deep snow because we either dress for it - or stay inside where it is warm. Some even spend most of the winter in the garage working on restorations.

We are all blessed to have found each other who enjoy the same "stuff".

Happy 2009 Folks.

Happy New Year, Up North Club Members

2007 was a fun year of touring. 2008 will also be as we have the schedule all ready for driving our Model A's to great locations where we will tour, eat, visit and have more fun than we should be allowed to have.

Our Christmas party was a big success with 23 members in attendance with a dish-to-pass meal. We even had a special Christmas cake made by one of our members with the Club Logo on top.

Watch out, 2008. Here we come:-)

November Issue of Up North News has been mailed to you. Sorry to be late but the printer ran out of yellow ink. We received the new cartridges but they shipped us the wrong ones. So we had to reorder with next day shipping. What an irritation. But we got it printed at long last. Hope you find it fun and informative.

November Newsletter in the works folks

We have lots of photos of our last tour of the season taken by various members, so the next News will have many photos to help us recall all the fun we had together.

Also included are a couple stories written by the youngest person on our tour from her point of view.

We have a great group of folks who enjoy each other and all of our Model A's. We tour, we meet for breakfast, we help repair the old cars and we laugh a lot. We feel lucky to have found such fun stuff to do.
